About jurgrace
|
I live in a suburb just north of Seattle with my husband and 3 children. Thanks to the kids, I have plenty of experience with preschool-age toys currently on the market. Lately, I've been finding myself reading a lot of books, so you will find most of my reviews in books or kids and family.
Now that I have been here a year, I feel confident explaining a few factors that will automatically disqualify a review for a VH rating from me:
1. Excessive spelling and grammar errors. If you can't be bothered to do basic proofreading or hit the spell-check button, why should I have to do it for you?
2. Not using any capital letters in your review, not even at the beginning of sentences. Come on, even my daughter who is in kindergarten knows to start sentences with caps.
3. Using only capital letters in your review. IT MAKES PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE SHOUTING AT THEM!
4. Excessive use of IM language in your review. AYKM? Consumers go to Epinions for coherent reviews, not a long text message.
5. Comparing to or rebutting other people's epinions on the topic you are reviewing. There is a pretty good chance that the people reading your review have not read the review you are referring to, and will be confused. Especially when you factor in all the various ways that people find our Epinions, your reviews should be able to stand alone.
If that doesn't apply to your review and you still have a question about something I have rated, please drop me an email at gracejur@hotmail.com. I am happy to answer any questions there.
