Pros: The best Cuervo has to offer Cons: Expensive and perhaps too oaky for most aficionados
The debate over who makes the "Best Tequila in the World" has once again heated up, now that Herradura Selección Suprema has won this title on the recent spirits tasting/sampling event in San Francisco. If you have read my review on Herradura´s...
Pros: Cuervo Reseva de la Familia is hard core tequila. Cons: they overdid the aging, overpowering the agave base and making a slightly unbalanced spirit.
The presentation is traditional with an antique looking bottle and an old looking label, the top is sealed with something plastic that looks like red wax. As a big contrast it is sold in a box that is painted with contemporary looking Mexican art, a ...
I first tried the Reserva de la Familia after the big tequila boom in Mexico, I consider myself a connoisseur after living in Guadalajara for 2 years and in the Distrito Federal for 11 years.

For the price, this is far worth it's money. For under $100 a bottle (don't pay a penny more) this is so impressive. It is smooth enough to sip on and has an agave caramel body with a smooth savouring after taste. This is the complete package, it comes ...
Pros: Complex taste unrivaled by any other tequila Cons: strong taste to those with an unrefined tequila palate
First of all, a bottle of Reserva goes for about $75.00 most places in the U.S. It is not a tequila to be taken lightly--per the price and the strong body. If you are looking for a tequila that gives the same flavor characteristics of a scotch, this is...
Pros: Good Spirit Cons: Not what you would expect from a tequila
Cuervo’s pride tequila, the best of all their products. Well I will agree that this is a great Spirit, it has a dark tone and the taste is very much of wood, maybe to much, making this tequila resemble a bourbon or even a cognac. But where is the...
Jose Cuervo, you made an excellent choice by jaisen27 ,Jul 22 '04
Pros: Has good flavor, and a nice sting to it Cons: KInda pricy and overdone oak taste
I have been drinking Jose Cuervo for a long time, but only on special occasions because it is kind of out of my price range. I love the taste of this tequila, and im not sure because im actually more of a beer person. The oak taste is a little over done, but I'm sure is probably not noticed unless your a tequila connuisuer. All in all the 80 proof tequila will suit most fine, with a very exceptional flavor.
1 tequila, 2 tequila,3 tequila, FLOOR
Pros: Attractive packaging, soft caramel color, friendly nose, smooth oaky finish with a hint of agave Cons: Each bottle seems to have a slow but steady leak.
My personal favorite and always a surprise to anyone who tries it for the first time, this is cuervo's only drinkable tequila in my opinion. I am a scotch, bourbon and cognac lover, so the oakiness of this tequila is the only reason I enjoy it so much. In addition, it's smoothness, soft caramel color and the hint of agave finish put this gem in a class of it's own. Thankfully it has a price tag of $85-$100 which keeps me from becoming a complete alcoholic.
