Cons: Erm, it's flimsy?

My main reason for buying this machine is that it can easily be modified via the handset to be made multi-region. i don't use any fancy connections (HDMI) or have it hooked up to a 99.1 surround sound system. Straight forward connection to a non-LCD non-behemoth sized TV.

That being said, i have absolutely no problems or misgivings with using this.
- picture quality is good.
- I've noticed no delays during playback.
- it's never refused to play a disk.
- it plays my multi-region disk.
- it's small and thin and won't take up much size in your entertainment center.

The only thing i could possibly level at it would be it's a bit flimsy and lightweight.....but what else do you expect for something for $40.

And it's done... well, I can't figure out if it's dead or not. It played one disc but 1 day later would not play another disk (which would play in another player). Figures, 2 months after warranty expires. It's been making more noise than usual so I'm thinking the motor or reader is done. Ever since I've owned it, it takes forever to load and many times will say "no disk" so you have to repeatedly try to get it to play.
I'm confused after reading all the reviews... maybe I just got a lemon.

Pros: Plays almost anything. Slim, Affordable.
Cons: Slow boot time (turning on or ejecting). No hdmi, no optical/toslink connection.

I've recommended and bought this for a number of people simply for the fact that it plays AVI files. That in itself is worth the cheap price tag. Any and most movies that are in this format or backed up (from my own collection ;) plays on this player.

Buy this player for that simple fact!!! It plays almost all files!!!
