In the past, I have never found it necessary nor cost effective to purchase an extended warranty on any of my electronics, until this first purchase of an LG unit. Needless to say, I will never ever consider purchasing anything made by LG from now on. Buyer beware.

After giving up attempting to navigate LG's cryptic web site to explore repair service by manufacturer, I consulted my retailer, Best Buy, about the problem. The employee smirked and said that repair costs will exceed the unit cost.

EP recording is limited to six hours. The remote can control very few televisions. The remote cannot control a Sony television. The remote cannot control a Toshiba television.
