DeWalt 10" Portable Table Saw Stand
by gjb49 ,Jul 13 '08
Pros: Folds flat when not in use. Cons: Collapses easily when moving if saw not bolted down.
I bought my DeWalt portable table saw when Builders Square was going out of business. At that time, the stand was sold separate. As I have limited space in my shop, I needed a stand, so I found the DeWalt stand at Home Depot.
The stand does not require assembly; the only additional parts required are bolts to attach the saw to the stand. These bolts are necessary if one would want to move the saw and stand.
The stand is a folding style. Setting up involves lifting the top until it locks in place. While the saw can be lifted by one person, two people should be used when putting the saw on the stand.
What I don't like about the stand is trying to move it and the saw - it does not slide easily. I solved the problem by putting the saw and stand on a mobile base.
