Quaker is a brand that has been in my household for many years. I love their cereals, their oatmeal, and always loved their rice cakes. I use to buy them in several varieties and just munch on them when I wanted something sweet but not overly so. I remember rice cakes were a sort of fad for the girls in my school, and we would pack them and eat one for recess instead of snack machine candy and chips (and fight through the hunger pains until lunchtime, ha). If we had these back then, it would have been ideal!
Quaker Mini Delights Chocolaty Drizzles are packaged and sold by the Quaker Oats Company. Each box of these treats contain 6 individual portion controlled bags. Each bag contains about 22-24 pieces of Mini Delights. I buy them at either Walmart of my local grocery store for around $3.00 (less at times, more at times depending where I get them and including sales and coupons) a box. I usually find them with all the other snack food items, but in the "healthier" section near the rice cakes and 100 Calorie Packs, and diet snacks.
Quaker Mini Delights are multi grain rice cakes but in miniature form. They are small at about an inch big, and circular much like a regular rice cake. They are airy as well. On the top of each rice cake, there is a drizzle of melted chocolate, just enough to give it sweetness.
I love the texture of these treats. They are crunchy and crispy and the chocolate will melt away in your mouth. The rice cakes aren't extremely flavorful so the majority of the flavor comes from the chocolate. It doesn't taste like low grade chocolate or any of that waxy type I've come across over the years. They give you just enough of "the good stuff" to keep it delicious, but not so much it ruins the calorie content. It's a perfect balance of taste.

Each pack only contains 90 calories. The sugars aren't incredibly bad either, considering it does contain chocolate. One bag of these satisfies me the same as if I ate a full candy bar. Only, if I have this instead, I am ingesting less calories, less sugars, and less fat. I like these the best out of all the varieties (alright, I love the caramel as well), but I just bought a pack of the chocolate mint ones for my daughter to take to school since that is her favorite. (Mini Delights also come in peanut butter, buttered popcorn, and cinnamon strudel). For the chocolate lover, I would recommend these above all.
They're great for packing away for a work or lunch treat or snack. They're small enough where they won't take up much room in a desk drawer (work) or a purse or bag. Or, even a lunchbox. But, they're really tasty, and have the right amount of crunch and the perfect amount of chocolate sweetness. I would recommend to all, espeially those who are watching their calorie intake. This would make a great somewhat guilt free treat.
