If we are what we eat, then I am a partial Oreo cookie. I loved these as a kid! I always dunked, letting it submerge completely in the milk and sink to the bottom where I'd have to help it rise back to the top with a spoon. I didn't eat them as much as I got older, but every time a new variety would come out, I'd always try it. I didn't even know these existed until I started seeing the commercials for them on television. Both my daughter and I wanted to try them, so I bought a pack.
The Oreo Cakesters Chocolate Creme package I bought had 6 individually wrapped packages, with each containing 2 Cakesters each. These are sold practically anywhere you can find Oreo products, and I believe I paid around $3.00 for the box.
Opening the package, there are 2 Cakesters, and they look about the size of a normal Oreo. They are very different however, because these are soft and cakey (and as you know, Oreos are hard cookies) and they are really dark in color. They have a chocolate fudge filling in the center that looks like it's creamier than the creme center of a normal Oreo cookie.
After trying one of them, I came to the conclusion that they weren't what I expected them to be. I knew they would be soft and cake like, but I didn't expect them to be so sticky in my hands and tasting like they were undercooked. The chocolate wafer of the regular Oreo cookie has always been my favorite part of an Oreo, so this disappointed me greatly. I thought the cake outside would at least taste like the wafer of an Oreo, but it tasted too much like fudge. Rich, incredibly sweet fudge cake, to be exact. This would be fine if you are someone who likes sweet cakes (it tastes richer than a Little Debbie chocolate cake product, in my opinion, for a comparison), but I do not, because I usually can't tolerate super sweet treats.
The fudge center was tasty, and resembled icing. It was creamier as I thought it would be with my first impression, but with the chocolate center combined with the chocolate cake outside; it ended up giving me a sugar rush and then a massive headache later.
My daughter tried this product as well and she doesn't have the same sensitivities as I , so I figured she would adore them. (Being a kid and all). She didn't love them, but she didn't exactly hate them either. She ate a total of 4 (on 3 separate occasions) before she threw in the towel. We ended up giving the remainder of them away (we had 3 packages left neither of us wanted).

They were too rich for my tastes. I didn't care for the texture of the cakes; they tasted like they needed to be cooked longer and you could almost feel the sugar in it. The fudge was fine, real chocolatey and sweet, but combined with the sweetness of the cake, it was just too much for me. I would recommend these not to Oreo fans, but only to people who really like sinfully sweet choclate snack cakes. I would suggest buying a single package first, then deciding if you like them or not. If so, buying in bulk would be a great idea because you are sure to get them at a better value. They are a great size to pack in a lunchbox for a treat for school kids.
