Pros: Good Handling
Cons: Tire Separation
The Bottom Line: With all 4 tires showing separation at 37,000 miles, I can't recommend these tires to anyone. They seem to handle better than my new tires, but I feel safer now.

| justlearning's Full Review: Continental Touring CH95 Passenger/Performance Tir... |
I bought a 98 Passat with 23,000 miles on it. I had some shimmy , although most of it was fixed when they replaced the tie rods thru a dealer recall. I bought it from a VW dealer, but they didn't bother to tell me there was a recall or fix it before I picked up the car. Anyway, after the tie rods were replaced, there was still a shim. And still a feeling of the tires not being round when first starting out. In addition, they needed air every 2 weeks. During a recent inspection, the garage told me all 4 tires had tread separation, on the small tread, on the outside corner. You can see steel. At About 37,000 miles. Scared yet ???? I have found that Continentals have been on some Explorers, and there has been at least 1 trial where Continental has been told to pay millions to a Taurus driver who had Continental tires, and had an accident.
They scared me. I have absolutely no shim with my new tires. Maybe the tie rods affected my Contis, and caused them to wear out. Maybe not.
These tires were made in Germany.
