jpea22's Full Review: Baby Quiet Sounds 02090 Video Monitor
When we registered for baby gifts, we first chose a sound only monitor. Then we added the larger video monitor. We received both at our shower. After the baby came home, we looked at the big monitor and noticed that it had to be plugged in and really would be stationary. We took both monitors back and purchased this monitor. At first we were worried about interference with our other electronics, but we have not had any issues.
We have been using this video monitor for three months and absolutely love it. The camera is easy to mount. First, we just set it on a shelf next to the crib, but now we have it on the wall. During the day, you have color and sound. At night, there is black and white. There are two channels to choose from so you can see which gives you better reception.
The handheld screen is wonderful. It has a 1.8 inch screen that is remarkably clear. When the monitor is hooked to the outlet, the video can run constantly. When the monitor is on battery power, the video runs a few minutes then shuts off. The sound stays on. If you want to see the baby, you hit the video button and there she is.
This monitor is a blessing at night. If the baby is making noises, I switch on the monitor and can see if she is sleeping or if she is sucking on her hands - which means it's feeding time! This has saved us so many trips to the nursery at night. We don't have to turn on any lights to see what she is doing. During the day, I clip it to me or set it up on the counter so I can work while she is napping. In a second, I can check on her. The sound quality is excellent, too!
This monitor is a little pricey, but well worth the extra money.
