One of the best French wines I had on the plane!

I have used Singapore airlines only once in my life, from Singapore to Beijing.
I traveled in Economy.
I break down below my experience of this flight.
SEATS.
The plane had 3 seats on each side of the plane. It was half full (or empty) and I sat on the corridor seat, while another passenger was sitting by the window. The legroom was ok, in line with other carriers. Unfortunately the person sitting by the window took frequent breaks and I had to move my legs on more than one occasion to let him pass.
FOOD.
I had heard marvelous things about food on Singapore airlines. In my experience, it was fine, but I would not rant about it. There was a choice of Eastern and Western food, I went for the Eastern option and had some curry chicken. The meat was very good, but the vegetables accompanying it were far from tasty. The good thing is that we were given towels to refresh before having dinner. On the other side, their wine, I had some French, was particularly good. During the flight, we were offered orange juice and water more than once and although I did not ask myself, passengers seemed not to have any problem in getting more water if they requested it
SERVICE.
Here is were they Excel. I have already mentioned the promptness of staff in supplying liquids, overall, staff was always attentive, smiling and caring. Top class for this.
IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT.
Again, top notch for this. There was a TV just in front of me, on the back of the seat of the passenger in front of me. I am not a film buff, but someone who is, may wish to take this airline only for the choice of movies. I watched "lord of the rings" I guess less than one month after its UK release. There was also a good choice of music including Chinese and Thai songs, which I listened to!
PUNCTUALITY AND SAFETY.
The flight took off 30 minutes after schedule and we landed on time, or may be 15-20 minutes after the scheduled time. When you board the plane, first go those with kids and you are constantly reminded/encouraged to sit down. Differently from other airlines (eg. Alitalia) all the safety procedures were done by the book. Airline regulations for safety are very strict. Those who abide by them, could not do better. This is what Singapore airlines did. Staff cleaned the toilet on more than one occasion. Again, this is to ensure your comfort and also safety from a health point of view. A nice touch which puts to shame TAP, which I used to go to Brazil. The condition of the toilet towards the end of the trip is better not to be recalled!
IN CONCLUSION.
I have overall a positive memory of the sole trip I have done with this carrier, although the legroom and the comfort on my seat could have been a tad better, I enjoyed this flight and would definitively use them again in the future.
