Pros: Professional service at all stage of the procedure. Excellent food.
Cons: More expensive than other airline companies.
The Bottom Line: Of all the airlines Singapore is always my first choice for traveling. I always ask my travel agent to try to book me on their flights.

The Way it Use to Be.
Singapore Airlines
We had just returned the car to the rental company. Being that this is the first snowstorm of the season, the traffic leading to the airport was a complete mess.
For international flights, I like to arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure. But today all the to the airport was in heavy traffic, so this meant we would end up with much less time to register and board the plane.
As expected once we arrived at the airport the lines were very long, but this was not a big problem because Singapore Airlines had opened extra registration stations and their personnel were well organized and were very helpful.
When it came our turn to register we found out that our luggage was over the weight limit. After we explained to her that this is the time of the year when we play Santa Claus and we bring Christmas gifts to our friends and family in the Philippines. The agent said that she understood and recommended that we try to stay within our limit next time.
The flight was not quite full, some may have missed their flight because of the snowstorm. But still there were a lot of people, many were arriving late and since boarding could not be done by row order starting by the back of the plane, I thought this would be a total confusion. Well I was wrong, again Singapore Airlines had more then enough personnel to help and they were extremely caring and the boarding of the plane went very smoothly.
Where Singapore Airlines really stands out is with their onboard service. Their stewardess and steward are very proficient, they all have a genuine smile and you can tell that they really enjoy working for Singapore Airlines and tend to the passengers' needs. Before and after the meals they continuously walk though the cabin to offer passengers refreshments and to ask if they would care for something else and they do this always with a smile a mile wide.
All the meals were excellent, the portion was adequate and the wine was superior. The refreshment kept coming all through the flight and if a passenger asked for something special the onboard agents would simply get what that passenger wanted. They never gave you the impression that you were disturbing them.
Our flight was almost 20 hours long, but Singapore Airlines personnel made it feel painless. This was the third or fourth time I used them and I never had a bad experience with Singapore Airlines.
Because our flight departure was delayed for deicing, when we arrived the ground agents offered to every body breakfast vouchers good at any of the restaurant in the Hong Kong airport. They also gave a free telephone card in case the passengers had to make call to anyone waiting for them.
Now this is class.
