Pros: print quality, cost, speed Cons: none so far
Having burned out my latest printer, it was time to get a new one, and money was going to be a factor. We didn't want to purchase one that would cost us an arm and a leg, and because printing is normally regulated to a few major instances per month, a ...
Pros: 99 bucks, awesome Epson color photo print quality and IT PRINTS ON DVDs! Cons: I wish I knew about the DVD stick on label problem sooner.
Jason was coming out of the mall when a white van approached, and a man asked him "D'ya want some new DVDs? I've got "Shrek III, Donkey gets put to Sleep"; "Star Wars- the Lost Jar-Jar episodes", and "Metallica - Live at the Senate Hearings". The man ...
Pros: great prints, CD/DVD printing, no jams, simple to use. Cons: Costly ink, slow start up, dated labeling software.
I would like to start by saying that I don’t regret buying this printer. Unfortunately, there is as with any printer I’ve had a big HOWEVER that follows. The only reason I don’t feel sorry for the purchase is the price I paid - $50. For the price of ...
Pros: price, individual cartridges, quality of photo prints, card stock paper printing, CD and DVD printing Cons: body design, speed for multiple printing
Photo R 220 is inexpensive printer made by EPSON. This is 6 cartridges basic model. I have spent time comparing all EPSON 6 cartridges photo printers. Top of those is model Photo R340. I did not find beside cosmetic upgrades any quality print ...
Pros: Prints ok pictures. Cons: Cant print ANYTHING if any of the ink is out.
It feels like every time that I go to print a page that it has a very hard time reading that the paper is there. I reload it and reload it, but it is work to get it to print. It was supposed to be a nice feature that the ink cartridges are all seperate, so that you only buy what you need, well-- they failed to mention that you cant print ANYTHING AT ALL,even black ink only if even ONE of the color cartridges are out! Plus, even when you do have all of the color cartridges in there and you select Black Ink only, they say that it still uses a little bit of the color ink anyway! So the " feature " is more wasteful since you cant even buy just one black cartridge to print black. It should be pretty simple. They make it more costly.

Pros: Fast, quiet, excellent photo printing quality, CD printing, low price. Cons: Expensive ink replacement. Must buy your own Firewire cable.
As a working pro photographer, this is my printer of choice for day-to-day use at home.
Installing this Firewire printer was a snap on my Mac. While it works fine for letters and general purpose printing, where the R220 really shines is in photo printing. (No surprise there, as Epson has a 10-year lead on the other printer manufacturers in terms of the unique requirements of printing photos.) Prints on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper dry fast and never fail to amaze friends and family when they learn it's from an inkjet, not the lab. They are that good.
CD printing is another handy feature. Now that inkjet printable discs are affordable and readily available, the R220 makes it very easy to jazz up your music and movies.
All printer manufactures nowadays unfortunately go by the razor/blades pricing model. While you'll get a great deal on the printer itself, expect to pay $12 apiece for replacement ink tanks, or $50 for a set of all 6. Still, another great printer from Epson and highly recommended.
This is by far the worst printer I have ever owned. It is slow, noisy and clunky. The included ink cartridges ran out of ink very quickly. All in all this is Flintstone's technology. It probably would have been a top notch printer ten years ago. I think I could write what is on my screen faster than this printer can print it out (and that is in "speed" mode of the set-up). Quality of photo printing seems okay, but not worth the wait.
Pros: extremely quiet, beautiful & professional-looking photos, great value for the low price Cons: software it comes with for editing & printing takes some getting used to.
This printer is great for the price. I bought it to print digital photos and it was a great value. The printer is quiet and easy to use, the print colors are great. You can't even tell that the photos were printed from a computer because they look so professional. Make sure to use Epson ink and Epson photo paper and you'll get fabulous prints. They even print with a nice white border.
Epson-good printer for CD's only by jimchest ,Nov 13 '06
Pros: It can print on CD's (MO Cons: Cannot print 4 pictures on a 8.5x11 inch sheet. Filmfactory prining software GARBAGE.
This thing constantly misfeeds the cd tray, then tries to force it in the back of the print. If your printer is butted up agains the wall, good luck retrieving the tray.
My Cannon had MUCH better software for printing pictures. There is also NO BORDERLESS like my cannon PIXMA has. If Epson wants to make a photo printer it needs to have software that allows me to print (4) prints per a page
